The ACT streamlined nomination is a simplified pathway for holders of a professional or research doctoral degree completed at an ACT university to obtain ACT nomination for a Subclass 190 or Subclass 491 visa, with minimal supporting documentation, priority processing, and a fee-free application.

To be eligible for this streamlined nomination, you must hold a qualifying doctorate from an ACT university and meet specific residency and assessment criteria.
Residence And Regional Requirements
- Canberra resident: You must have lived in Canberra for at least 12 months at the time of invitation and completed a professional or research doctoral degree at an ACT university.
- Interstate resident: You must have been awarded a professional or research doctoral degree from an ACT university within the last two years.
- Overseas applicant: You must have been awarded a professional or research doctoral degree from an ACT university within the last two years.
Education And Qualification Requirements
- Hold a professional or research doctoral degree (PhD) completed at an ACT university.
- Your nominated occupation does not have to be on the ACT Nominated Migration Program Occupation List. You may nominate any occupation on the relevant Department of Home Affairs List of Eligible Skilled Occupations.
- You must hold a mandatory skill assessment (singular) for your nominated occupation.
